Why Radius
Our
Technology
Radius is not a catalogue. We prefer platforms we can manage, secure, document and support — and we will recommend something else when that is the honest answer. The stack is not fixed forever. Customers are not put through replacement projects simply to match a preferred list.
Choose the tool for the job. Then be able to run it.
Why standardise
Why standardisation matters
A known configuration is easier to manage, secure, document, support and recover. Special cases are expensive: they hide, they break differently, and they are hard to hand over. Standardisation is a management choice. It is not an excuse to rip out what still works.
Easier to manage
Fewer one-off builds. Changes that can be repeated.
Easier to secure
A baseline you can actually maintain.
Easier to document
A diagram that matches reality.
Easier to support
The next incident is not a forensic project.
Easier to recover
Restore paths that have been thought about once, not invented in a hurry.
Organised around the job, not the logo
01
Management and visibility
Endpoint management, monitoring, asset visibility, patching and the automation that removes grind from operations. If we cannot see it, we cannot honestly say we are managing it.
02
Security
Identity, endpoint protection, Microsoft 365 security configuration, secure defaults and alerting — proportionate to the business, maintained as operations.
03
Networks
Firewalls, switching and Wi-Fi that are documented, configured on purpose and kept current. Visibility of the path, not a mystery cabinet.
04
Cloud and productivity
Microsoft 365 as the usual collaboration platform. AWS, other Microsoft cloud services, SaaS or hybrid where the workload belongs there — not as a belief system.
05
Backup and resilience
Platforms selected for the environment: Microsoft 365 data, endpoints, servers, cloud workloads or NAS. Monitoring and a recovery plan matter more than the logo on the box.
06
Automation and AI
The Microsoft ecosystem, APIs and workflow automation where the process is understood. Approved AI tools only with identity, permissions, privacy and human oversight. Sometimes the correct recommendation is not to automate.
Platforms we often operate
These names are useful because they describe environments we know how to run. They are not partner badges, certifications, reseller claims or a requirement that every customer must adopt them.
- Microsoft
Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tenant administration.
- Cloud
AWS where the workload benefits from it. Microsoft cloud services. SaaS products the business already depends on.
- Endpoints and security
Action1 for patching where it fits. ESET for endpoint protection where it fits. Other tools when the estate already has a sound equivalent.
- Networks and storage
UniFi and similar managed networking. Synology for storage or backup where that is the honest platform for the site.
If a customer already has a platform that is secure, supportable and understood, we will operate it rather than invent a migration for the sake of uniformity. If it cannot be operated safely, we will say so.

Look at the stack as it actually is.
The Technology Review includes Microsoft 365, devices, networks, backup and whatever is already running — not a pitch to replace it on sight.
